It's ok to fail

Last week I tried a new bread recipe. It was very simple. Just three ingredients: beer, chickpea flour and baking soda. Mix them together, bake for 45 minutes and wait for the result. I did… unfortunately I forgot I put it into the oven and got busy with other things. When I open the oven, the bread was burnt. It’s ok, I thought. I can do it again. So I did. The second time I was very careful and diligently followed the baking time. This time my bread was not burnt, but… what I discovered also not 100% cooked. It looked good but did not taste nice at all. It was bitter and crumbled when I was trying to slice it. It was just not edible. I made the third one using my usual recipe. The bread came out beautifully and tasted great. Sometimes what we try does not really work out the way we really expect it to work. Not succeeding does not always equals failure. It only means that we learnt something new by trying. Our learnt experiences equip us with new skills and knowledge which we did not have before. And this is already a recipe for success.
