Most popular meaning of the phrase “rainy days” means a future time of need, especially financial. (English Dictionary). We save money for rainy days, and we do not want rainy days to get us by surprise. There is a level of negativity associated with this phrase. Usually it describes “lack of something” e.g. literally lack of the clear sky and the sunshine. For some people, rainy days bring memories of feeling isolated and lonely. However, this is not the only meaning of it. Rainy days can bring some positive outcome and create opportunities. Rain itself brings blessing to the earth, especially during the time of drought. Rainy days can give us a relief after days of hot weather. They create an opportunity to stay indoors and take care of many home matters which we rarely have time for. The financial rainy days, although showing hardship, can still encourage us to become creative and resourceful.

As year 2020 ends, we all look back and count our challenges and blessings. No matter what your tally shows, I pray that you find some comfort and inspiration in your rainy days experiences and… see an opportunity in everything what is happening in your life today and in the days to come. Happy New Year 2021, everyone!
